Illegal mining was going on in the Ravi river, Deputy CM suddenly raided; was shocked to see the truth

Jagran correspondent, Kathua. Deputy Chief Minister of the state Surinder Chaudhary was shocked to see with his own eyes the truth of the complaints of illegal mining going on in the prohibited area day and night in the Ravi river by the Ravi River Action Committee. The Deputy Chief Minister, who reached the Ravi river at around 10.30 pm on Saturday, conducted a surprise raid on Shri Krishna Stone Crusher in the area of the prohibited Ravi river near the police post.

People ran away after seeing the Deputy CM

The Deputy Chief Minister saw the stone crusher running at night with his own eyes. However, the stone crusher workers ran away after seeing the Deputy Chief Minister. Some drivers of about 20 dumpers without numbers from Punjab, involved in illegal mining, were found present there.

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary himself questioned them, but they kept avoiding giving correct answers to his questions. For the first time in the Ravi river, a Deputy Chief Minister conducted a surprise raid so late at night.

The Deputy Chief Minister also called the SSP and CMO at the same time and instructed them to visit the spot and take strict action after seeing the situation. He also raised the question that this illegal business is going on openly at night.

It is surprising that the area where the stone crusher is installed is completely banned for mining for the last six years. Even after that, the stone crusher is running there and that too at night and it also has electricity connection, whose vehicles were also found involved in illegal mining at the spot.
